"Brittany, is that a churro?" The brunette eyed her slightly as she sat down beside her best friend.
The dancer just grinned, nodding as she chewed. “Yep!”
"We are in Podunk, Ohio. Breadstix is the only restaurant that isn’t fast food or ‘family owned’ around here. Where did you get a churro?" She laughed a little as when she watched the blonde’s face twist a little. "What’s wrong, Britt?"
"I got it from your Abuela…" She watched the brunette intently, waiting for a reaction.
"Why would you see her?" Santana gritted her teeth and started to play with her fingers.
"She saw your commercial. She was amazed and kinda surprised." She sighed a little and leaned back against the couch. "Your Mami didn’t want to tell you because she knows you wouldn’t want to talk about it…so I went to tell her about your understudying for Rachel. She’s really proud of you. Your Abuela says she wants to see you. She…she wants to see both of us."
"Both of us?" Santana asked confused.
"She thinks we are still together. I couldn’t tell her otherwise. I mean, if us acting like we’re together for a visit gets you two speaking again," She reached over and grabbed the Latina’s hand. "I know how much it means to you."
"Do you now how much you mean to me?" She mumbled out quietly, gripping Brittany’s hand back softly.
Brittany just smirked a little, “I know.” She said softly and took another bite of her churro.
Santana couldn’t help but smile back. She had to look away, though. She couldn’t handle the smile on Brittany’s face. Everything was finally coming full circle.
